Ive just been privileged enough to spend a few days with these orangutans and the people who are working tirelessly to save them from imminent extinction. Their respect and dedication is humbling and they have treated us as both guest and friend. On a less smiley note though, is the fact that the local animals, trees and indigenous people are being rapidly and meticulously decimated for nothing other reason than a few peoples greed, and many peoples ignorance is both heartbreaking and shameful. These are the lungs of the world, and each individual within it is vital to keep our planet breathing....if we dont stop the devastation now, we will all suffer, be it your backyard or not....so wise up people...get educated...be responsible...make a stand, no matter how small....if not for yourself...for your children and their children to come...you can donate to the foundations over here, less than a fiver will plant a new tree, or rehabilitate a baby orang..possibly one of the best investments any human can make, to try and fix this mess we have made....
