Ive just heard that parents went into their childs bedroom because they heard voices, and discovered that someone was talking to their child from the surveillance camera, and was trying to persuade her to get out of bed. The person zoomed in on them and seemed to be in control of the camera. Fortunately the child was deaf and therefore unaware of what was happening. Apparently this is down to default settings and passwords and can happen with any type of web cam so instead of keeping you and your property secure, they are used to spy on you. Can someone with more technical nouse than me (not difficult) try and explain how this is possible. Thank you!
