Ive kept my mouth shut about a lot of this racial issue that has been plaguing our country the past couple days concerning the death of Mike Brown. If you are ignorant to fact that there are without a doubt criminals in this community who want hurt you or me, then you are sadly mistaken. Ignorant means uneducated.. And thats exactly what people are when they say Mike Browns death was unjustifiable. If a black or white man or woman goes to grab my gun after hitting me in any kind if way, then your gonna get deadly force thrown back at you. A gun is a weapon... It contracts deadly force. And if you grab my gun while in a physical altercation and are trying to possibly use it against me, then when Im able to I will shoot you. And thats wether your black..white..male or female. Dont be uneducated when you make comments about a man who justifiably killed a man who could have possibly taken his life with his own duty weapon. If you are uneducated to these policies and procedures governed by every known law enforcement agency, then I can gladly let you know of a agency that conducts the ride along program. And even then if you feel indifferent because you are riding around with a white officer, then Ill gladly point you in the direction of a professional hard working black police officer who will perform the exact same duties if necessary that Officer Wilson performed that night. Its simple people. Race has nothing to do with this story. The public which is US is adding race into this tragedy. Like I said its simple... Wether your white or black, male or female and you get into a physical altercation and grab at or actually grab the gun of a cop then you deserve to or possibly could lose your life. The real tragedy is that Mike Brown thought it was ok to do what he did. It comes down to ignorance ladies and gentleman. Ignorance meaning people who are uneducated. Get educated. Really learn your rights. Because I know plenty of people who are tired of getting looked down on as cops because we are trying to do our best to protect the good people, the bad people and the ignorant. I see people like Mike Brown everyday. Some are lucky to still be alive even though they were a idiot grabbing a cops gun. And most importantly they are not just black. At the end of the day myself as a law enforcement officer, Im going to go home to my wife and my daughter due in January. But Im also not ignorant to the fact of what I do for a living. When I took my oath I knew the possibilities of what could happen on a daily basis. I knew that I could go to work one day and possibly not come home ever again. And so does my wife. We live with these facts everyday. But we choose to, because I love doing what I do. Protecting the public and helping offenders be a better person to go back out in our community so they dont perform a criminal act on you. -Caleb
