Ive never been as disgusted with the human race as I was today. I was at Universal Studios with my friend and we decided to go into the single riders line for Gringotts, the new ride in the newest addition: Harry Potters Diagon Alley. I ended up in the a cart with a very nice lady who struck up a conversation with me. She asked me how long I waited and I said an hour and a half which was nothing compared to her six hours in the normal ride line. What made it that much worse was she had a family infront of her, who was now in row infront of us, who made racial slurs the entire time. She had a little girl who was black whom she adopted because her mother passed away; the woman herself was white. They called the little girl, the adoptive mother, and the adoptive grandmother horrible names. I stared at them and said very loudly, I am so sorry that you had to deal with those ignorant people today. It is sad that racism is still so strong that they have to make a family on vacation feel uncomfortable. Just remember racism is a sign of unintelligence and ignorance and the only people who look disgusting are those who are sitting infront of us. They turned around and looked at me with a shocked expression just as I finished and then turned back around. Cowards. What cruel people. I started tearing up because I wanted to cry for the family, the little girl especially, who will now remember that as apart of her first vacation.
