Ive never been one to mail out Christmas cards. This year Ive put together something a bit more unusual than that. The majority of you know that Im a hard core Whovian (Doctor Who fan, for those not familiar with the parlance). Some of you are also Whovians, and many of you are not. Stick with me, those of you who arent. Ever since Doctor Who returned in 2005, it has turned its Christmas special episodes (which air on Christmas Day) into a hugely popular yearly tradition. Theyre always great, and I watch them all each year in lead up to the airing of the new episode. While I was watching the 2010 special, A Christmas Carol (which, yes, is Doctor Whos excellent adaptation of the classics premise), it came to the big finale scene which features a wonderful music performance by one of the main guest cast, Katherine Jenkins (whos best known as a music artist, but who did a magnificent acting job in the episode). As I watched it, I thought Id hop online and see if there was a good quality copy of that music performance scene to share online as a quasi-Christmas greeting. I didnt come up with a good quality copy to share, but while I was hunting I came across a couple fan-made videos from back around when it aired utilizing the song. They werent terrible, but I knew I could do better. So, as an experiment, I wanted to see if I could do one in an hour. I wont keep you in suspense; I couldnt. I did, however, manage to finish one in about 2 hours. So, here it is. If you arent a fellow Whovian, hopefully the oddities (namely all the fish) of the episode wont confuse you enough to take you out of it. So, Merry Christmas to all yall out there. To all of you who are my fellow Whovians, I hope its all that much niftier. And dont forget to kick it up to 720 resolution quality if it doesnt start that way.
