Ive never understood why when a verdict in ANY case doesnt go the way a town wants it to go, the whole town starts rioting! We understand youre upset, but why ruin the town you live in?! Then you just have even more cases of police brutality! I hadnt really followed the case, so I cant say whether or not the officer was in the right or wrong. I do know that this is happening more and more often! I appreciate every police officer that serves and protects but a lot of them these days are just to damn trigger happy! What happen to warning shots? Shooting in an arm or leg? Calling for back-up? I can only imagine how scary it can be being a police officer,but until your life is TRULY threatened (a gun being aimed at you) then shoot, shoot the hand the gun is in! It doesnt necessarily have to end in death! Just my opinion, I dont need any backlash from anyone. I respect the law and am thankful for the ones who are true to their duty as an officer. I just think a certain percentage of officers take wearing a badge to a new level, thats uncalled for. Remember I respect what you do, if your duty as an officer is done right!
