Ive not made any political comments lately as Im just weary of all the divisiveness in our country right now and I dont want to contribute to it. In reference to that, Ive been watching a lot of Youtube and it is amazing what some of the human beings in the third world countries have to put up with like Mango flies, Bot flies, Jigger worms and Guinea Worms. They put up with all this whilst living in stark poverty and semi-starvation. Yeah, we have our own pestilence but it seems none of it compares to the horrible things the the folks in Africa have to put up with. I mean, hell, X number of them are devoured by Nile Crocodiles every year or chomped by Hippos. They have an awful time outrunning Black Mambos, and King Cobras. They live in huts and put up with giant ants, malaria and child warriors trying to chop their hands off or shoot them with an AK-47. We have our own problems with poverty but as I drive down Lancaster Avenue in the afternoon observing all the throw away street people waiting to get into the missions for the evening, I have yet to see any of them malnourished. Every night I crawl into a comfortable bed with a full belly in an air-conditioned bedroom with my biggest fear of the night being that of getting up and stepping in dawg pee barefooted. I am no exception to most Americans. Few people realize how fortunate we all are to have been born here in this land of plenty with a stable government where we have the legal right to argue with our neighbors over all the hot button issues. So, when you think about your greatest misery, put it into perspective and be thankful for what you have. And when the tax man comes knocking, think of all the rest of the people in the world who would gladly trade places with you.
