Ive noticed a line of oil going from my house up the road and a small puddle behind the front gate (I always stop there to shut the gate behind me). No sign of oil on the way back though. So 2 options - either its some old oil that I havent wiped off when changing the oil on Sat and might have been sitting somewhere in the engine bay OR I have a leak. When I went to change the oil on Sat Ive noticed that the underside is covered in oil, including the old oil filter (blue filter in picture) and ABOVE it. When I checked today with the new filter on its the same and the new filter is also covered in oil. It appears that the engine block is covered in oil from about half way down and at the front where the half moon is. The radiator has been topped up with water yesterday because I need to do that every couple weeks (just a bit), the top house is soft when hot but Ive noticed some discoloration at the top of the radiator (appears green - like a rusty brass colour). When I checked the oil level it was at low when hot, will check in an hour when cold. So how serious do you guys think it might be? Is it the half moon or rocker cover seal? Is it the head gasket? My plan is to tighten up the oil filter (but highly unlikely it needs done) and wash the engine right now and watch tomorrow where the oil might be coming from. First 4 pics are before the oil change - but it looks the same after the change.
