Ive owned a very successful business for 4 years and have had nothing but awesome feedback, extremely satisfied clients, and great reviews. I open my Pilates studio up to something called Class Pass which allows people to sample classes at hundreds of studios and have no sense of loyalty to particular place, and all of a sudden I get a 2 star review from someone who took one class and decided they didnt sweat and it wasnt for them. I actually cant stand that everyone has a platform and considers themselves an actual critic. This person probably has no idea that their own personal, uneducated opinion can actually negatively impact a small business. What a disappointment. Ive worked so so so hard to build a stellar team and reputation and its infuriating that one person can label my work with a couple of stars. Rant over. But next time you decide that perhaps the bartender didnt get you a drink fast enough or you went to a Yoga class and didnt feel your ass burn or something and you go home and decide to Yelp about it, maybe consider that by giving some small business a bad review you and your expert opinion could actually have a somewhat significant impact on a businesss (online) reputation.
