Ive posted news about the passing of numerous industry peers whom Ty & I were blessed to share bonds of friendship & brotherhood, along with the music. But, NONE impacted us deeply as Donny, Grover & Bug (Maze percussionist)....until yesterday, when we learned that John Blake died. Our connect with the brother goes back to our days in ELEMENTARY school. Along with Noel Pointer & Jean Luc Ponty, he was amongst the fraternity of notable jazz violinists, who put a brighter spotlight on the instrument being more prominently featured in a soloist capacity.
