Ive reached out to friends over the last week just to say hi, as I normally do. As usual, Im amazed at the personal tragedies people go through behind the scenes of Facebook. We know most people through their perfect Facebook worlds. We send messages and someone may not respond immediately, we get offended. Someone didnt like our post and we think they arent a good friend. Next time, just stop and think--hey, maybe they have something on their mind and thats why I havent heard from them?! Or, maybe they post all of those happy pictures because they want to be happy, not because they are bragging about their lives?? Drop a note to someone today to just say hello, to say Im thinking of you. I have some very courageous friends in this world. People I would never believe have struggles, until I caught them at that right moment and they opened up to me. Im trying to get better at this myself, as I have a list of people I need to call back to chat with (who are probably reading this saying uhhhh???) ;)
