Ive read many articles on Autism saying that one thing theyre trying to do in school is teach children w/ Autsim a more society friendly way of stimming. You know what I find funny? Why should a CHILD w/ SPECIAL NEEDS(who already have it hard enough) learn new ways of expressing themselves just because the so called normal people are incompetent, rude & ignorant? Rather than trying to tweek the spectrum, why not educate society? The stares, the the whispers, the giggles.... are sadly all inevitable. I have never tried to change my daughter & quite honestly she is perfectly molded into exactly what GOD has intended her to be. Unfortunately I cannot control what other people think & say.... however I will teach my daughter that she is worthy, she is loved & above all else, she is blessed. What others say is only a reflection of their own character, not hers.
