Ive really been thinking a lot about getting back in church. We belong to a church and have always loved our church family. About two months ago my daughter and I saw two church members in CVS. Both held a conversation with us, neither one mentioned church or invited us back. Then I saw another in Walmart and she invited us back, said she loved us, and missed us. Same thing with another member I ran into at that little play in Summerville Theatre. Then last night I ran into the lady that led us to our church. Not only did she look right at me and not speak, but we were on the same aisle at Walmart and she turned and went the other way. Strange to me how the people who stand up every week (when I was there) and profess their love for God and desire to bring people to Him are the same ones that didnt express concern that we have been absent from church for several years. At least the two at CVS were themselves as they always were. Guess Im most disappointed in the youth leader that led both of my children and eventually myself and my husband to church that couldnt even smile back at me when I smiled at her. Its very discouraging when church is on your heart and that is the reception given.
