Ive said this before...but it is obvious that I need to say it again. My posts about science, for example, are not meant to imply that I know a lot. It does mean that I READ a lot and from a variety of genres/subjects because I dont ever want to fall into a rut in my reading. I want to at least be somewhat conversant with what is going on in the world. For example, I am reading a book on Islam and Christianity, and yes, I have a copy of the Bible and of the Quran by my side so that I can read the citations. I realize that Muslims believe that the only valid way to read the Quran is in Arabic. Whatever. All the same: I bought (with the help of one of my pastors) the full Arabic course from RosettaStone. Its incredibly difficult. But I am going to learn the language. I am also reading The American Republic. And the on-going series of publications from the Strategic Studies Institute of the U.S. Army War College. I also share some articles because I tend to think that there are others who may like to read some of those articles. If you dont want to, its very simple: dont. Read something so you dont become, or stay, stupid and ignorant.
