Ive seen a lot of new ideas being thrown around, from major surgery, fad diets, crazy supplements all the way to pants designed to eliminate fat in certain areas but increasing body heat (give me a break). The only thing I have found that works consistently for every single person, every time is good nutrition and exercise. Do not let these companies hypnotize you by playing to your fears and your doubts. We all have tummy fat, we all have stretch marks and no amount of fad dieting, acai berry eating, slimplex sipping, caffeine infused compression pant wearing is going to fix those problems. You need good food and you need to move your body. More important still, please love yourself. Losing weight is not about hating your body, hating your life or even hating your health complaints. Its about loving yourself enough to want better. This is your health, wellness and life at risk here. Love yourself enough to change your life, improve your health and and achieve wellness. I hate sounding like a hallmark card but I can tell you from my own experience hating my body has only led to sabotage and pain. Just when I thought I hit bottom I found a shovel to dig a bit further. I was sick all the time, off work, unable to eat a lot of things, had to know where a bathroom was at all times and with health complications most people dont deal with till your 60s. I was 114kg of ill health, both mentally and physically and I thought it would never end. One day I said Enough! Im worth more than this, I want to live and I want to live well. Not just survive in some half state of being I cant say I have won the war yet, but every day I wake up and choose life all over again. Some days I eat badly, make excuses and cop out, but I havent given up and I wont. Not ever. Why? Because I love me and I deserve better.
