Ive seen a lot of people pouring buckets of ice water on their heads, even been called out myself. Heres an interesting fact, Stephen Hawking has motor neurone disease. Im not sure exactly whether or not that is a form of ALS or possibly a relative condition. Hes brilliant, and I assume financially well off. However, many people suffering the condition are not. Ive seen many complaints over the ice bucket challenge filling our news feeds, but is it not as devastating as cancer? What about childhood diabetes? I doubt many would complain about raising awareness, and millions of dollars, for either of those. Basically what Im saying is if you dont like it, keep scrolling. Some people are just trying to do good in whatever way they can.
