Ive shaved my head twice and been fortunate enough to witness children dig into their pockets to give their own money. Ive witnessed children having their head shaved at shave events. Ive witnessed incredibly beautiful women donate locks of hair then be shaved bald. Ive witnessed pub regulars pony up hundreds of dollars to see a friend shave his chest or his eyebrows or his ten year beard. Millions have been raised and millions in research grants have been awarded. This child, like the others Ive witnessed, knows that love is more important than beauty, solidarity is more important than style, and friendship is more important than rules. Courage is what kills cancer. Courage.
