Ive spoken of this recently, but I feel lead to revisit it. the Lord wants people to know that He knows what they are going through. He knows the human condition. He lives it through Jesus. yes I said lives. we all know that Jesus lived the life of a man for 33 years here on earth. and in that time, He experienced what it was to live the life of a human man. He got hungry. He got tired. He felt sorrow, and sadness. He was tempted. He felt pain. He even experienced torture and death. but some may still say that even in that whole life, He couldnt have experienced everything that humanity goes through. they would say He never had cancer, He never had dementia, He never was paralyzed. how can He know what every person that has or is living goes through? simply put. He lives it through us. Jesus lives in the hearts of all of those who believe in Him. He is a part of us, and we Him. what we feel, He feels. what we suffer, He suffers. He knows our pain very well. but what He also does, is overcomes it. He made the way to overcome it all through the cross. and if we trust in Him, that victory is ours. any suffering, any affliction we face, will be overcome through Him. there is no greater truth than that. so, if you think He doesnt know youre situation, if you think He doesnt understand. He does. He is going through it with you, and He will get you through, and help you overcome. in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.-1 John 4:16(ESV) I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”-John 16:33(ESV) the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.-Jeremiah 31:3(ESV) 35 On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side.” 36 And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. 38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” 39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” 41 And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”-Mark 4:35-41(ESV) Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” 5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple 6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and “‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.’” 11 Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.-Matthew 4:1-11(ESV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.-John 3:16(ESV) and hope does not put us to shame, because Gods love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.-Romans 5:5(ESV)
