Ive tried to do this video several times, but cant get it right so thought typing it out here first may help: If I have a client lead that cant make up their mind on what additional services they want, (uplighting, photo booth, ceremony music, etc) I try to hold off on the contract so I can put together a package deal for them to save them money. In the mean time, Im reserving the date & getting to work on site inspections, meetings, etc only to have them go with another DJ. Thats my fault 100%. No more of this. Before I lift a finger for them, I need an iron clad contract with a non-refundable deposit in X amount of days, even if its just for basic services & I end up doing add-ons later. My other thought is on making it crystal clear, in the contract, when & how we will be communicating. No more text whenever or email whenever & expecting an immediate response or Im the bad guy. We set dates for the site inspection, meetings, and anything else in addition to wedding date & times. Am I being too harsh here?
