Ive tried to keep up on the texts, emails and FB birthday wishes but wasnt able to. THANK YOU to everyone who thought of me and wished me well! My birthday started out great, spending the day and time w/ Ryan and Claire is always worth it! However the day ended with the police and lots of crying. Around 2:30 pm on Saturday at the Hagerstown Outlets I realized my wallet was gone. After retracing our steps to the two stores we were at w/o the wallet, I filled out the necessary information at the customer service desk. Once in the parking lot we started the process of cancelling credit cards. Good thing we did. The person had charged over $700 to one of our cards. Amongst other multiple charges and made a charge from our bank card. A total of three credit cards were used and my Christmas cash gone along w/ our medical cards, etc. I couldnt stop crying because that feeling of not knowing who has your drivers license and just about your life info is scary. (I dont keep SS cards in my wallet, never have!) Id rather they take the money and give the wallet back! We called the police and gave them all the information and before we got home they had already stopped at one of the grocery stores. Loss prevention was coming in today to go over the surveillance videos. My credit card companies gave us times, amounts and store location. Washington County Sherriffs dept told us they have a 60% success rate at getting people who do this. That made me feel somewhat good. I was pretty angry at the nerve of someone to do that while we were right there and Claire in the stroller! We all our safe and home. But now Santa needs to bring me a new wallet.
