Ive tried to stay off FB as I wanted to stay clear of all the gloating and mud slinging from all sides as the vote is final so I see no reason to argue over what Scotland voted for and I emphasis SCOTLAND VOTED for. But I have taken real umbrage with the statements from yes voters that people voted with uneducated minds or influenced by football or religion, lets break this one down it is widely accepted that the west of Scotland has the biggest football/religion divide with its biggest city being Glasgow but if some the yes voters are correct in saying ppl voted no bcoz of football or religion then y did Glasgows majority vote YES!also 28 of the 32 counts were won by the NO camp does this now mean people in Shetland,Aberdeen or Dumfries with influenced by football or religion,of course they werent so that argument can be put in the bin. Also to claim that scotland has become a JOKE for being the first country to say NO to independence is terrible, claims like this only portrait Scotland as a country that will happily down cry theyre fellow scots opinions and choices. He fact we are the first to say No shows how much people engaged in the referendum and how much serious consideration was taken by the Scottish people. The referendum was a democratic vote and Scotland done what it was asked vote for your future and they have spoken, the outcome was No which now must be accepted. So why argue or tell people theyre opinions are wrong, why not use the amazing demand for change both sides have demanded and build a greater future for Scotland
