Just yesterday I read that the protests by LASU students over General Fasholas mindless fee hike turned gruesome as the Police forcibly broke them up, arrested some of them and even charged them to court. The students, who were brought to the court untidy, alleged that they were maltreated by the Police, who apart from beating them also forced them to evacuate waste from a septic tank And all is quiet about that on Facebook. Its all in Fashola and APCs interests for the protests to be broken up so no noise, no hate posts, no rousing condemnation of dicatorship, nothing. All quiet. If not for one of the very,very,very few APC supporters who I feel has genuine intentions, Petra Akinti Onyegbule, this might have passed under the social media radar. So, in one breath we condemn Mbus jackboot order while on the other hand we pretend we didnt see a far worse violation of fundamental rights such as in Lagos? APC calls for Mbus dismissal while condoning the brazen impunity going on in Lagos? Worse is that the LASG alleges that the LASU protests is the work of detractors. Hehehehehe! Very familiar, not so? Recall APCs foul reaction when the FG claimed that the Chibok protest was by its detractors? Now the same APC is borrowing the same excuse? Hehehehe! Hypocrisy has only one definition and Ill continue to point it out to APC fans. Patapata theyll call me names as they usually do but truth will always be told.
