With their blend of rock and classical music, I’M NOT A PILOT appeals to an impressively diverse fan base of both young and old. Perhaps that is what happens when a band does a mash-up of a Radiohead hit single and Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Prelude to Solo Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major” as they do on their cover of “Creep.” The band features Mark Glatzel (vocals and piano), Peter Thomas, cellist for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (electric cello), Steve Vorass, (drums), and Adrian Esguerra (bass guitar and vocal back-up). Im Not a Pilot takes its name from front man Mark Glatzels musing on the idea of the control - or lack of it - one has over life. Mark often alludes to being a passenger on a plane knowing the destination of his journey, though uncertain of what the route will bring him through.
