I’ll be participating in an event to raise funds for The Kidney Foundation of Canada- especially organ donation awareness! This holds a special place in my heart. As most of you know I had surgery to lose weight- a reason I had not shared with many people was my size was causing serious liver problems. My specialist said - I had two choices - lose the weight or end up on a transplant list. And then said at my former size there would simply not be enough room to perform a transplant! Well I have lost weight and right now my liver is holding its own! I am doing great. But the importance of organ donation is still so real to me. I am still doing all I can to prevent it for myself but I will do all I can to help everyone with immediate needs! Lets get the word out - Organ Donation saves lives.
