It’s by, Katy Perry, who was recently named the Highest-Selling Digital act ever! This 29-year-old superstar has sold more digital downloads than any other act. Katy Perry has now sold more digital downloads than any other act. The Recording Industry Association of America named the pop star their first Top Certified Digital Artist, honoring her record-setting 72 million digital singles sold. With just three albums out, Katy becomes the first artist ever to surpass 70-million in downloads. As of this month, the singer sits comfortably at number one and 20-million downloads ahead of any other artist. The RIAA presented Katy with a special plaque during a ceremony at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C., where she performed back-to-back concerts this past Tuesday and Wednesday. Shes currently on the road promoting her latest album Prism, and will continue the North American leg of her tour through October.
