I’m feeling so grateful right now. I haven’t spent this long alone at my own house, since my son was born almost 6 years ago. It’s amazing to see the contrast of how I value my time, pre and post kids… I’m home alone for a solo-staycation, a personal retreat. My wife and kids are in Chicago. I have the entire house to myself. It’s when my wife’s gone, that I see how messy I am. The bachelor life for me would be a bit shotty. I like to remind my wife that I’m neat and she’s clean. Neat just means I pick things (some of them) up. But in her absence I see where I’m not engaged. It shows. I’m grateful for you Ellen. Im grateful for your awesome family. Instead of relaxing and hanging with friends, going skiing, or doing what I used to do with my free time, I am extracting every minute and milking each second to connect deeply with myself and my purpose. I’m spending every minute writing, reflecting and visioning my future. I even came up with a theme for myself for the year. I made art. I cried, I ate some medicine, I laughed. I celebrated me. I received guidance. I touched a chord, a note, that whispered…YES….right in my ear... It went in…
