I’m making this post Public, but its intended for every one of my dear 3,080 Facebook Friends, asking you for the kind of strong support you always offer me. GREAT BEAR AUTOMOTIVE, a repair shop in Weston operates under the ASE, Automotive Service Excellence, an the prestigious association with over 330,000 repair shops. I took my Solstice GXP Turbo to Great Bear Automotive and, after saying it would take on day to fix, they kept it for over 2 weeks. They quoted me $556 and charged me $664. *it gets worse! I got my car back performing exactly the way I brought it into the shop. I took it back, and they quoted me a valve for the turbo that was $60, and told me that labor would be free. Yesterday they gave me back my car, saying it was working perfectly with turbo boost up to 16 (should be up to 18), after making a lot of special discounts charged me a whooping $789, which is 13 times more than was quoted. Well, within 2 miles of the shop, the turbo broke again boost at 1 or 2 and the car is now in much worse shape than at the beginning. What did I get for $1,454? I believe Mike the Manager made an extremely serious miscalculation. Maybe Mike thought Im an illegal alien and he could get away with it. There are a few errors that, should they choose not to fix my car the way they promised and quoted would be considered grave aggravations for this case. Pam Bondi, Attorney General of Florida, who I known personally, considers this at a higher scale of crime (fraud) if the customer who was defrauded is a senior Citizen, which I am. The bill was presented to me and I accepted it under duress, when I have Bronco Pneumonia, with high fever, When I was late for an urgent clinical appointment. Frankly , I dont know how Mike and the owners will be able to deal with this situation. Should I give them a 3rd chance, or just proceed with any or all the (at least) 8 options I have available?
