Seven months ago, countless Americans across the country were panicking as their premium bills skyrocketed and real estate closings were being stopped at the table. Fortunately, Congress was able to rise above partisanship and pass my reform bill which is already stabilizing flood insurance premiums and will soon result in reimbursements for those who were forced to pay the most crippling increases. I’m proud to have delivered these real results for Staten Island and Brooklyn and I will continue to fight harder than ever for the hardworking families I represent
