I’m running for City Council because I want to make a difference. This city has so many strengths: its waterfront, architecture, colleges, cultural institutions, and its diverse, talented, generous, hard-working people. But we have our challenges, too: neighborhoods destroyed by eminent domain; sidewalks, streets and buildings in disrepair; underperforming schools, a small tax base, and a pervasive lack of trust in our elected officials. We’re strong enough to overcome these challenges. We can fund necessary services without crushing taxpayers. We can make our school district the pride of the region. We can create the safe, clean, walkable neighborhoods our residents want. With the Coast Guard museum coming and our transition to an all-magnet school district, it’s an exciting time for New London. I want to help make the most of these opportunities—and I want to make sure our residents are informed and engaged every step of the way. In the weeks to come, I’ll be updating this page with details about my campaign. I’ll be knocking on doors. I’ll be asking for your support. I don’t expect it to be easy, but I’m rolling up my sleeves, flexing my muscle, and saying, "We can do it."
