J Dooley ORourke: the cobblestone noise is personally too much for me on top of train noise and main street noise in my block at 11. (see my other posts). besides noise, what alienates neighbors in any city is parking restrictions. the need for around the clock parking on both sides of greenfield street (please get rid of ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING!) this will eliminate complaints of overflow cars taking up spaces from other blocks. when there are twice the number of parking spaces available only at night this puts undue pressure on homeowners and tenants alike every weekday. for those with insufficient off-street parking, shift workers, retired, and vacationers are simply never on a day shift that allows this moving of cars from one side to the other. with cars on both sides of the street you should generate slower driving. for those who dont slow down, never overlook the possibility of asking the police to ticket speeders for a week or two. - William Johnston 838-3038 any evening
