JERUSALEM: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu paid tribute to Sergeant Zidan Seif, the police officer who was killed while trying to stop Tuesdays attack on a Jerusalem synagogue, in a letter to the officers family on Thursday. The people of Israel are saddened by his untimely demise, Netanyahu said. Zidan gave his life to save innocent civilians he did not even know.
