JESUS CAN HEAL A BROKEN HEART The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. LK.4:18 Many things can cause disappointment and depression. In the case of the infirmed woman who touched Jesus in the crowd, a spirit of infirmity had gripped her life. A low self-esteem caused by child abuse, rape, wife abuse or divorce. I realize that these are natural problems, but they are rooted in spiritual ailments. One of the many damaging things that can affect us today is DIVORCE, particularly among women, who often look forward to a happy relationship. Whenever a woman is indoctrinated to think success is romance and then experiences the trauma of a failed relationship, she comes to a painful awakening. DIVORCE is not merely seperating; its the tearing apart of what was once joined together. Whenever something is torn, it does not heal easily. But I have a good news for you JESUS can heal a broken or torn heart! Approximately 5 out of 10 marriages end in divorce. Those broken homes leave with broken dreams, people and children. Omly the Master can heal the long-term effects of this tragedy. One of the great healing balms of the Holy Spirit is FORGIVENESS. To forgive is to break the link between you and the past. Sadly, the people that need this always find it difficult to forgive. Regardless of who you hold responsible, theres NO HEALING in BLAME! Forgiveness is the gift you give to yourself. When you begin to realize your past does not dictate the outcome of your future, the n you can release the hurt. Its impossible to inhale new air until you exhale the old. As you exercise this piece, I pray for Gods grace to untie you from where your past kept you IJN. PRAY WITH ME: Lord Jesus, I forgive everyone that have wronged me in the past, and I declare that the balm of Gilead will heal all my brokeness and give me a new song IJN. I believe in you greatly.
