JESUS GIVES SPIRITUAL WEALTH. “And you have been given fullness in Christ,who is the head over every power and authority”(Colossians 2:10) ‘Through the ages people have gathered goods in order to provide for life today and for the future.This is a good thing and should be encouraged.The danger doesn’t lie in the gathering of possessions,but in the obsession to do so.When material goods become overwhelmingly important in your life,you fall prey to the destructiveness of covetousness and desire.Your focus on benefiting yourself means you have little time to consider the needs of others.Worst of all is that your desire to fulfill your responsibilities toward God diminishes. Christ must be the center of everything you do.Your complete faith and trust must be in Him at all times.Your persistent prayer must be that you will remain sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. If you live such a Christ-centered life,you will find that He meets all your needs.He will inspire you to serve Him among your fellow men.Through His rich grace you will live a life of complete fulfillment.Make sure that you are not so bound to earthly goods that you drift away from Christ.’
