JESUS IS NOT GOD (Series 5) THE THEORY OF INCARNATE GOD Philippians 2:6-8: Who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in a human form he humbled himself and became obedient into death, even death on a cross. OBSERVATIONS AND COMMENTS It is important to note that the above description was the personal opinion of Paul (the acclaimed apostle of Jesus Christ) and is subject scrutiny in the light of the available evidences of the bible. According to Paul: . (a) Jesus was in the form of God . (b) He completely emptied himself of Godhead . (c) He did not count equality with God. . (d) He was born in the likeness of men . (e) He took the form of a servant . (f) He humbled himself and became obedient unto death. If all the above personal views of Paul are correct, then Jesus Christ is no longer God as he had completely emptied himself of Godhead. What then became of the Godhead? And were did it remained for the period of 33 years when Jesus was on earth? And why should the Christians still consider Jesus as God after he had freed himself of Godhead? Or did he take it back? Where are the evidences? Why did Jesus take the same physical body of flesh and bones to heaven after accomplishing the job he was said to come and do? Since Jesus is now in heaven with his flesh and bones, does this not mean that he is not God? If Jesus took the form of a servant and not that of a son, why must he be called the son of God instead of servant of God? Also, the blood sweating prayer made by Jesus Christ in Mark 14:32-36 for God to save him from death has debunks Pauls opinion that Jesus humbled himself and become obedient unto death. How can somebody who is said to have humbled himself and become obedient unto death be so distressful, sorrowful and complaining that he was no longer insterested in dying again? (see Hebrews 5:7) Moreover, if Jesus was in the form of God, and then completely emptied (changed) himself of Godhead to become a servant, then the whole story is nothing but a child play. The Bible says God does not change in Malachi 3:6, how then, did he changed into a human being? Nevertheless, Philippians 2:9 states that: Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name... this statement has has crushed the whole idea of Jesus God ship as mentioned by Paul. Can another God exalt a perfect God? ALL KNEES SHOULD BOW DOWN TO JESUS CHRIST? Philippians 2:10:- That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus is lord to the glory of God the father Comments: Paul, the master planner and expert in distorting Gods word, stole the above statement from the book of Isaiah 45:23 and then distorted it and applied it to Jesus Christ. Let us read God says: By myself have I sworn, from my mouth has gone forth in righteousness a word that shall not return. To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear Isaiah 45:23. The onus is now on the Christians to choose to bow down to Jesus Christ in disobedience to Isaiah 45:23. I will say without any fear of contradiction that there is no verse in the Bible where Jesus said he should be worshipped as God. WHOM SHOULD WE BOW DOWN TO: JESUS OR GOD? No one can serve two masters at the same time, he may love one more than the other. This is exactly what Jesus said. The question is, did Jesus say anywhere in the Bible that all knees should bow down to him? The answer is No. Why then did Paul say what Jesus did not say? Where did Paul get his misguided inspiration from? From Jesus or from Satan? Is there anywhere the almighty God say all knees should bow down and worship Jesus Christ? No! JESUS SAID ONLY GOD SHOULD BE WORSHIPED? Read Luke 4:5-8 and Matthew 4:8-10. If Jesus authoritatively commanded the devil to bow down and worship the only true God, on whose authority did Paul said: Every knee should bow down and worship Jesus? Whereas Jesus quoted his own statement from the book of Exodus 20:25 and Isaiah 45:23, Paul did not tell us from where he got his fable. JESUS WORSHIP GOD Matthew 26:39, Luke 22:42, Mark 14:35, Luke 5:16 e.t.c. Comments: Who was Jesus worshipping by praying, kneeling and falling down on his face to the ground? If Jesus worships Go Go, on what ground do Christians worship Jesus? THE TESTIMONIES OF JOHN AND THE ANGEL Revelation 19:10; Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me; You must not do that I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus, worship God Comments: If an Angel of God testified tha tha only God should be worshipped, and if Jesus made the same assertion, who then was Paul to direct the people to worship Jesus Christ? Was Pauls credentials and status better than that of the angel? WHO ARE THE US AND OUR? Genesis 1:26; then God said: Let us make man in our image and after our likeness. Comments: The pronounce Us and Our in above verse are what the Christians used to prove the plurality of God. This is because in English Language, Us, or We, or Our, stands for more than one person. But in the Semitic or eastern languages (Arabic and Hebrew) there are two type of plurals, plural of numbers and plural of respects or royal plural. This kind of plural is sometimes employed by a king or by very important personality in our society. In consideration of His holiness, perfection and other beautiful attributes, God used the plural of honor and majesty to address himself. He was not calling anyone to assist him to create man. He alone did the creation without any assistance from anybody. HE CREATED MAN IN HIS OWN IMAGE AND NOT IN THEIR IMAGES In Genesis 1:27, we expected the Bible to say so God created man in their own image, in the image of Gods they created them, male and female they created them, so that the verse will be consistent with Genesis 1:27 above. But instead, Genesis 1:27 states: so God created manin his own image, in the image of God he created them: male and female he them this shows that God was the only one that did the creation in his own image. Moreover, in Genesis 11:7, God is reported to have said: Come, let us go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another speech. But in Genesis 11:8: it was only one God that did the scattering and not more than one God. See also the book title. Reasoning From The Scripture published by the Jehovah witnesses, it opined The plural form of the pronoun (we or us) here in Hebrew is the plural of Majesty or excellence (see new American Bible, St. Joseph Edition, Bible Dictionary, page 330; also New Catholic Encyclopaedia, 1967, volume V page 237). It conveys no thought of plurality of persons within a godhead page 415. All this shows that the pronoun us or we used by God is just a plural of honor and majesty. IS JESUS MIGHTY GOD? Isaiah 9:6: For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting father, Prince of peace. Comments: I doubt whether the above prophecy was actually referring to Jesus Christ. This is because was never called Mighty God through out his time on earth. And no where in the New Testament did he address himself as mighty God. But instead, he said: I can do nothing by myself John 5:30. Is this statement compatible with some one who was supposed to be a mighty God? And moreover, Jesus was never address as everlasting father through out his ministry on earth. And he didnt claim to be the everlasting father. He always addressed as the Son of God in the Bible and not the father. Also the word prince of peace can not applicable to Jesus Christ because in Mathew 10:34 he said:- do not think that I have come to bring peace to the world. No, I did not come to bring peace, but sword. Someone who is supposed to be the prince of peace would would not have made the above statement of pandemonium. Also in Luke 12:51, Jesus said: do you suppose that I came to bring peace to the world? No, not peace, but division. This shows that Jesus can not be the prince of peace mentioned in Isaiah 9:6. The prophecy also said that, the Government shall be upon his shoulder. This prophecy was not fulfilled on Jesus Christ as the Government was on the shoulder of the Romans emperora, Pontius Pilate and king Herod. And Jesus passed away without taking the Government on his shoulder. Also in John 18:36 Jesus sad; My kingdom is not of this world. SOLOMON WAS THE PRINCE OF PEACE MENTIONED IN ISAIAH 9:6 1 Chronicles 22:6-10 David sent for his Son Solomon ans commanded him to build a temple for the Lord, the God of Israel. David said to him: Son, I wanted to build a temple to honor the Lord my God. But the Lord told me that I had killed too many-people and fourth too many wars. And so, because of the all blood shed I have caused, he would not let me build a temple for him. He did, however, make me promise. He said:- You will have a son who will rule Im peace, because I will give him peace from all his enemies. His name will be Solomon, because during his reign I will give Israel peace and security. He will build a temple for me. He will be my son, and I will be his father. His dynasty will rule Israel forever. Comments: That was how Solomon became the prince of peace. He was given peace and security from all his enemies, he rule Israel in peace, and Israel was peaceful through out his reign as king. Solomon was also a prince because he was the son of a royal family and a sovereign ruler king David. THE GOVERNMENT WAS UPON THE SHOULDER OF SOLOMON FOR FORTY YEARS 2 Chronicles 9:30: Solomon ruled in Jerusalem over all Israel for forty years. Comments: Jesus did not rule Israel for a day and there was no peace between him and his enemies who were always against him. But in 2 Chronicles 6:10, Solomon said: _Now the Lord has kept his promise: I have succeeded my father as king of Israel, and I have built a temple for the worship of the Lord God of Israel. Who then was the Prince of Peace and on whose shoulder did the Government of Israel rested between Jesus and Solomon??? SOLOMON IS THE WONDERFUL COUNSELOR MENTIONED BY ISAIAH 2 Chronicles 9:22-23: King Solomon was richer and wiser than any other king in the world. They all consulted him, to hear the wisdom that God had giving him. Comments: According to 2Chronicles 1:10, Solomon prayed like this: So give me the wisdom and knowledge I need to rule over them. Otherwise how would I be able to rule this great people of yours? In 2 Chronicles 1:12 God answered the prayer of Solomon, saying: I will give you wisdom and knowledge. Ans in addition, I will give you more wealth, treasure, and fame than any king has ever had before or will ever have again. During Solo Solos reign, people used to come to him to seek for guidance and counseling through his vast wisdom and knowledge. That was how he became the wonderful counselor as prophesied by Isaiah in Isaiah 9:6 SOLOMON WAS THE EVERLASTING FATHER Solomon was not only the biological father of the Rehoboam according to 2Chronicles 9:31, but he was also the everlasting spiritual father of his people. And all of them came to seek fatherly advice from from Solomon because of his wisdom and knowledge. As for the title: Mighty God. We know that prophet Isaiah was only speaking in a prophetic or figurative language. He does not mean that the son to be born will be creator of the universe or the Almighty. It was only a figure of speech. In the book of Exodus 7:1 and Exodus 4:16, prophet Moses is also address as the God of Aaron, and Aaron is called his prophet. Does that make Moses the creator or God Almighty? MIGHTY GOD IS NOT ALMIGHTY GOD: Genesis 17:1, the Bible says: When Abraham was ninety-nine years old, the the Lord appeared to Abraham, and said to him, I am God Almighty; Comments: If there are Mighty gods, Lords, kings etc. then the supreme God is the Almighty of all mightiest, the Lord of all lords and king of all kings. See Deuteronomy 10:17 and 1 Timothy 6:15. Finally, the Son that prophet Isaiah was talking about was probably King Solomon Son of David. PRE-EXISTENCE OF JESUS CHRIST John 8:58:- I am telling you the truth replied Jesus: Before Abraham was born I am. Comments If the pre-existence of Jesus proves him to be God, the angels would have been Gods because they pre-existed before Adam was created not to talk of Abraham. Moreover, Prophet Solomon is reported to have said in Proverbs 8:23-27 that: Ages ago i was set up at first, before the beginning of the earth. When there were no depths I was brought forth, when there were no springs abounding with water, before the mountains had been shaped, before the hills, I was brought forth; before he had made the earth with its fields, or the first of the dust of the world. When he established the heaven, i was there. Therefore, if Jesus Christ is believed to be God because of his figurative statement that he was before Abraham, what about Solomon with his wisdom who even pre-existed before the angel according to Proverbs? Prophet Jeremiah also made the same following statements about his pre-existence:- Now the word of the Lord came to me saying. Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you:- I appointed you a prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1:4-5). Can we say Jeremiah is God because if his pre-existence as shown above? The question is, how can Jesus be said to have exuded before Abraham when the book of Matthew 1:1 states that Jesus descended from Abraham??? Could a man lived before his ancestor? The Christians should know that in John 8:58, Jesus Christ was only speaking about the pre-knowledge of God that he will create Jesus and send him into the world, God had this knowledge even before Abraham was born and be made to be Gods prophet. This is so because he has the knowledge of the past, the present and the future. (Thanks await for the last series, Series No. 6 THE SIGN OF EMMANUEL)
