JESUS SPOKE OF HIS DEATH Contradictory to Muslims accusation that Jesus did not die and did not want to die, the Bible tells us that Jesus indeed knew that he would be killed, died and be raised to life on the third day. From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. (Mt 16:21) JESUS SPOKE OF HIMSELF AS THE SON OF MAN AND WOULD RISE FROM THE DEAD. Earlier on, Jesus declared that he was ‘the Son Man’ alluding to Daniel 7:13 (there before me was one like a Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven, and said he, the Son of Man, would rise from the dead (Mt 17:9). JESUS REVEALED THAT THE SON OF MAN PROPHESIED IN DANIEL 7 IS THE SON OF GOD. 15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. (MT 16:15-17) JESUS EVEN ADMONISHED PETER WHO TRIED TO PERSUADE HIM NOT TO DIE, SAYING THAT PETER’S THOUGH WAS OF MAN’S AND NOT OF GOD’S. SO IS MOSLEMS’ THOUGHT IS OF MAN AND NOT OF GOD WHEN THEY DENY THE DEATH OF JESUS? 22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!” 23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” (Mt 16:22-23) THUS QURAN 4:157 IS CONTRARY TO THE WORD OF JESUS IN THE BIBLE. THEREFORE DENIAL OF HIS DEATH COMES FROM SATAN, SIMILAR TO WHAT HE SAID TO PETER, “GET BEHIND ME, SATAN!“
