JESUS WITH POWER John 1:12-13 – “But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Jesus has done everything for us; all we have to do is believe. Christ’s resurrection power is transmitted to His followers thus giving them a glorious new existence. Just because you have not experienced the power of resurrection does not mean that He has not provided it – no one was born without power. There is power in our mouths; the belief in our hearts is released by faith out of our mouths. The power of God in your life remains dormant until it is activated by faith. What you lack is not power but the necessary faith to release the power. Jesus’ power has not stopped just because He is no longer visible in our midst. His power and effectiveness are even greater today because He can be in all places at all times through His Word by His Spirit. We are unfaithful, that is why it appears as though God is powerless in the face of our mountain. People blame God for unanswered prayer when they fail to realise that they are to pray according to God’s will not their own. God is powerful and faithful to His faithful followers. To know God’s presence is to know God’s power. If you must receive Him, if you must know Him, you must do so with power. The Jesus Christ Apostle Paul knew was Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. If you are to know Jesus, you must know Him by the Spirit’s power. When you worship Jesus without depending on the Holy Spirit, you worship a god you do not know. Let us depend on God’s Spirit for strength and assistance, laying our souls under His influence and operation and you shall know God with power.
