Not completely leaving, but changing their tax status to move their bases to foreign countries that dont hate employers quite so much. Walgreens is in the news right now, as the latest big name company to consider moving to Switzerland for the good of their investors and employees. They wouldnt move all their operations or close their stores; its just a matter of their home for tax purposes. The move would actually be a win for America in general, since it would make them more profitable, and the general profitability of a 24-hour store has a disproportionately large impact on the prices they charge. Their state and the USA federal tax coffers might collect a bit less if Walgreens moves, but the Walgreens customers and employees -- remember, thats pretty much the whole country - would benefit from the change. But its driving the democrats crazy since they want to demonize Walgreens for even considering it.
