JK gets Rs900 cr fresh installment Annual Plan 2014-15 ●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●● ABHINAV VERMA Jammu, Oct 23: The Union Government has released a fresh installment of Rs 900 crore under Special Plan Assistance (SPA) to Jammu and Kashmir. Even as half of the current financial year is already over, the central government has so far released only Rs 3400 crore including the fresh installment of Rs 900 crore, against the Rs 7300 crore total annual plan for 2014-15. Highly placed sources in the Planning and Development Department told Greater Kashmir that the centre has released the fresh installment of Rs 900 crore very recently. They said that in absence of Planning Commission, Scheme of Finance has been communicated to the state without holding any meeting. Earlier in such meetings the state team led by Chief Minister would discuss things and finalize the proposals under the annual plan. Sources also said that the union government has also sought current revised estimates from the state government by January 31, to release remaining funds under the plan. It is pertinent to mention here that state Government had proposed to the centre an annual plan of Rs 7300 crore besides Rs 600 crore under Prime Minister’s Re-construction Plan (PMRP) and Rs 4000 crore under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) making a total of Rs 11900 crore.
