JKLF presents protest note to Indian mission in London ‘Will lobby for Kashmir cause on Intl forum’ => Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Tuesday strongly condemned the latest arrest spree by terming them undemocratic, dictatorial and state sponsored terrorism of worst kind. The Front also presented a protest note to the Indian mission in London against Gool, Ramban killings. In a statement issued to GNS, the JKLF spokesman while condemning the continued detention of JKLF Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik and other JKLF leaders said that these repressive measures again show that Jammu Kashmir is a state run by police and Indian forces. According to spokesman, after a memorandum was delivered to the UN observer’s mission at Islamabad Pakistan, JKLF leaders today in London presented a protest note to the Indian mission against the killing of innocent civilians in Gool Ramban. “In protest note, JKLF has strongly condemned the brutal and unlawful killings of 6 innocent Kashmiris at the hands of Indian armed forces during a peaceful demonstration in Gool, Ramban, and Kashmir,” he said. According to statement, the leaders while presenting the protest note said the recent killings in Kashmir clearly show India’s intolerant behavior towards Kashmir. They said that indiscriminate firing on peaceful demonstrators will not make Kashmiris retract from their demand of free and fair plebiscite in Kashmir. The leaders said that JKLF will lobby on international forums to muster up the popular political and diplomatic support in favor of the people of Kashmir for their inherent, inalienable and internationally recognized and pledged right to complete independence, the statement said. “JKLF leaders reiterated that peaceful struggle for right to self determination will continue despite nefarious and violent methods of suppression by Indian state against the people of Kashmir.” The statement said that leaders also condemned the restriction on internet services and arrest of pro-freedom leadership including JKLF Chairman Yasin Malik, Hurriyat Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, DFP Chairman Shabir Ahmed Shah and many others. JKLF leaders called upon the international community to ensure safety and dignity of people of Kashmir, especially when Indian army which is on killing spree is enjoying all the immunity under draconian law AFSPA (Armed forces Special Powers Act) which is enforced in Jammu Kashmir, the JKLF statement issued to GNS added.
