Akrasi Sarpong has informed close friends across the political divide of the conspiracy of top persons in government to cover up the VVIP cocaine scandal and how he as NACOB boss made it clear to them that he will play no part in such a scheme . 3. According to the NACOB boss, serious pressure was brought to bear on him to issue a statement and provide cover for government when the issue first broke. 4. He says that when he declined to do this and rather asked for a full scale investigation into how the 12.5 kg cocaine lady was sent through the VVIP lounge, those top men involved in the deal, went behind him and got his deputy to issue the statement with promises that Akrasi Sarpong will be kicked out soon and the deputy will be made substantive head of NACOB 5. Akrasi Sarpong finds the action of those top men in government as a serious blot on the integrity of NACOB and says his Deputy is being used to undermine the credibility of the institution locally and internationally. 6. Akrasi Sarpong points to his unusual loud silence on this issue as the biggest evidence of his disquiet with the circumstances surrounding the trafficking of the cocaine and attempts to cover up.
