JOB ADVERTISEMENT BACK OFFICE – HR MANAGER Organisation Caritas Switzerland and Caritas Luxembourg are non-governmental aid agencies and members of Caritas Internationalis. Caritas works worldwide and adheres to international humanitarian principles (NGO code of conduct). Caritas encourages people to take charge of their own fate and does this by promoting local initiatives that sustainably improve the living conditions of the socially disadvantaged, advocating the conservation of natural resources, supporting civil conflict resolution and peace building, cooperating with local partners and strengthening their own commitments. Caritas Switzerland and Caritas Luxembourg act in the frame of a MoU as a consortium in the Eastern Africa and the Horn of Africa with a focus on education, strengthening of civil society, food security and water hygiene and sanitation. We operate a joint Liaison Office in Nairobi, have Country Offices in Somaliland (Hargeisa) and South Sudan (Torit) and a Representative in Ethiopia (Addis Ababa). We are now seeking for a dynamic person to fill the position of Back Office – HR Manager. The Back Office – HR Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth procedures considering all administrative, financial and logistic tasks in the Caritas Switzerland/Luxembourg’s office in Torit, South Sudan and in cooperation with the office in Nairobi. Position Back Office – HR Manager Reporting to Country Representative Caritas Switzerland / Luxemburg Office South Sudan Duration Open (programme based) Location Torit, Eastern Equatoria State Key tasks & responsibilities Responsible for all administrative, financial, logistic tasks in South Sudan and in cooperation with the office in Nairobi. Responsible for HR tasks Coordination and supervision of cash flow and flow of goods Bookkeeping and budget monitoring Organisation, coordination and supervision of audits Management and administration of the procurement of goods on the national and international market Provision of support in contract tendering processes Administration of car fleet, office and accommodation Leading a team of local employees Qualifications Advanced university degree or diploma in Financial and/ or HR-Management At least several years work experience, specifically field work experience in recovery context Proven track record in Financial and HR-Management Very good IT user skills Strong communication and proven social skills Negotiation and analytical skills Flexible, innovative and sensitive to cultural values Knowledge of the South Sudanese context is an added value Fluent in English, German is an asset Contract start asap Application If you feel you fit the required profile, please let us know how your qualifications, experi2/ 2 ence and career ambitions match the requirements of this position.
