Monument Chemical 2450 Olin Road Brandenburg, KY 40108 JOB VACANCY REPORTING FORM POSITION TITLE: Environmental Engineer REQUIREMENTS: BS in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or BS in Environmental Health Science. A minimum of 2 years industrial experience; chemical industry experience strongly preferred; or significant coursework in regulatory compliance with the major environmental laws(CAA,CWA, RCRA, SARA, CERCLA,SDWA, RMP). Working knowledge of regulatory (OSHA/EPA/PSM/DOT/IH/RMP) requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are required. Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is necessary. SAP software knowledge preferred. Must be a self-starter with an ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time. Group presentation skills and the preparation of multimedia presentations are necessary. BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION, DUTIES AND OTHER INFORMATION: Oversee the development and implementation of programs to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations (air, water, hazardous waste, solid waste, potable water, TSCA ). Prepare and timely submit all reports in accordance with regulatory requirements for air, water, hazardous waste, solid waste, potable water and TSCA. Develop and implement policies, procedures, training and programs covering environmental, industrial hygiene and emergency response. Coordinate and manage all appropriate investigation activities subsequent to environmental incidents and coordinate the completing of Root-Cause Analyses as required. Provide assistance to other management personnel to assure effective and proper response to EPA and State compliance, inspections, etc. Assist with other programs as necessary. Prepare reports and maintain records in support of HSE system objectives. Compile, analyze and interpret statistical data. Participate in process development, PHAs/operating reviews, safety/environmental audits. Participate in and/or conduct HSE initiatives.
