JOB DESCRIPTION International Sponsorship Coordinator and Resource Allocation Department Employee Workplace location: Petach-Tiqwa. Subordination: National Director. Professional supervision: International Sponsorships: Donor Services and SPS Coordinator, SOS Children’s Villages International National Donor Service: Fundraising team National Office SOS Israel Job Scope: A full-time position. THE JOB INCLUDES: International sponsorship coordination Mission of the position: The National Sponsorship Coordinator is the main point of contact with international sponsors and donors in the national association. He/she guides sponsorship co-workers at programme level, develops annual plans and follow up on them. The position takes a customer-oriented approach, combined with inspiring and professional reporting towards sponsors, playing an important role in sponsor retention and loyalty. On-going quality monitoring, the implementation of international plans and projects as well as the expansion towards a stewardship approach to our donors are a key success factor for donor services worldwide. Main clients: International sponsors and donors National Director International Donor Services Coordinators for NA, based at Internat. Donor Services, Vienna Regional Donor Services and SPS Coordinator Key performance areas and main responsibilities: Communicates with sponsors and donors and is their main point of contact: Designs messages directed at sponsors and donors and writes exciting, honest and inspiring messages for them Acts as intermediary between sponsors and children or programmes to safeguard the respective rights and interest of both groups Oversees, organises and manages sponsorship work in the country and assures/monitors quality. Implements and follows up on international project aimed towards increasing the level of service quality and stewardship towards donors and sponsors Builds, trains and guides a team of sponsorship co-workers at programme level Trains and guides other staff involved in sponsorship activities National donor support (fundraising back office) • Ongoing update of the Israeli donors database on SALESFORCE program. • Coordination of payments and receipt-issue with the financial department. • Periodic reports for international and local donors, as well as keeping in touch with suppliers and sending materials by mail, as required. • Initiate calls to renew or upgrade regular donations from Israeli donors. • Handling of donors appeals about past, present or future donations; follow up and replies, including documentation of their correspondence. • Allocation and addressing local donors, if required. • Assistance to the international and local donation request setup, including periodic follow-up reports for funds that have been donated to the association. • Assistance in the recruiting of commercial companies: allocation of potential companies, organizing meetings and follow-up. • Any technical assistance to the Resource Allocation Dept. as defined by management. • Assistance in writing replies to e-mails received via the site. NEEDED COMPETENCIES - knowledge, skills, abilities Possesses education geared towards business administration, fundraising or languages Has strong affinity to fund development and communication Shows motivation for quality assurance Is able to identify with the vision, mission and values of SOS Childrens Villages Thinks and acts in a strategic way and is open to innovation and change Has excellent computer literacy, in particular Microsoft Office and data-base updating knowhow Has a strong customer orientation (optional: experience in the servicing industry) Possesses excellent organisational skills Likes working in an international setting Has an interest in child protection topics Is a good communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills Can design and create innovative, inspiring messages for sponsors and donors Likes working with or within a team and virtual team Is able to build, guide and plan with a team of sponsorship co-workers at programme level Is result-oriented and self-reflective, determined, innovative and pro-active Shows social competence and is an excellent networker Languages: English at mother tongue level (written and spoken) and Hebrew.
