JOB DESCRIPTION SOCIAL MOBILIZER Detail of Responsibilities: Introduce the program and conduct the initial dialogue with the communities; Develop plan and carry out needs assessments, baseline studies, case studies, and feedback findings to stakeholders; Collect socio-economic data for Community Development Groups (CDGs) profiles and facilitate the communities in forming committees/organizations and develop area development plan together with the communities; Collect and compile baseline information for developing village profile, conducting field surveys, resource need assessments and participatory appraisals in the project areas; Arrange meetings of the organized groups and help in need identification and to identify the areas where water & sanitation activities can be implemented; Plan activities to reduce WASH-related risks; Promote safe WASH practices, including appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities and services; Implement hygiene promotion activities in line with relevant standards, codes of conduct, and humanitarian principles; Responsible to aware the community about the hygiene issues through conducting hygiene sessions; Develop, refine and manage the process for regular reporting and coordinate with appropriate departments for the dissemination of information; Establish networks of information collection and sharing; Create and maintain online and hardcopy of reports; Perform any other activity assigned by the management / supervisor. Personnel Specification: Qualification: BSc, BA or Equivalent.
