JOB OP: Digital Media Technician in NY We are a media management company that is seeking a technician to perform various tasks with rich media. Encoding, multiplexing and archiving of digital video content will represent the bulk of this positions responsibilities. A strong working knowledge of Windows XP and Mac OS is imperative. Knowledge of video and audio standards, equipment and best practices are key requirements. Experience with Manzanita multiplexing software is also desirable. Experience with CatDV or similar Asset Management software is desirable. Experience with Unix terminal and DOS command prompt is a big plus. Experience with Encoding software is also desirable with Digital Rapids a big plus. Experience working in a shared storage environment is desirable, Terrablock experience would be nice. StorageDNA experience is desirable. Experience working within a hybrid fiber and ethernet environment would be helpful. We will test all applicants to determine practical knowledge in the digital field. The ability to work second shift hours temporarily or permanently is required. Overtime is mandatory at certain times of the work cycle. There will be tremendous opportunity to acquire skill sets that are required to work in todays digital environment. A chance to work with media asset management and rich media workflows will be available to those wishing to take advantage of it. During certain times of the work month, weekend overtime is required and compliance is a requisite of this position.
