==== JOB OPENING ===== ss The Humane Society of the Ouachitas is seeking to hire for the position of Shelter Caretaker. Hours of work would be Wednesday thru Saturday from 8am to 2pm totaling 24 hours a week. Starting wage is $7.50 an hour with raises regularly awarded for consistent quality work. Responsibilities would include the care of shelter residents and their environs. To include feeding, medicating and cleaning. A successful candidate will possess the following qualities: A true love of cats and dogs that would inspire them to be patient and compassionate with pets of all training levels and dispositions. Reliable, able to come to work on time and when scheduled. Sure footed. Able to move in and out of kennels that are sometimes wet or have obstacles. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Able to walk large dogs. Ability to work with consistency to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and pet health. Ability to behave in a positive, professional manner at all times.
