JOB OPPORTUNITY: Faculty Position, Teaching Assistant Professor and Dietetic Internship Director - West Virginia University Academic Rank and Salary: Twelve-month, non-tenure track faculty position, 50% administrative and 50% teaching appointment. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities: This position will direct the University’s Graduate Dietetic Internship program which is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). As the director the incumbent will manage and cultivate relationships with preceptors; oversee the supervised practice rotations of interns through advising, monitoring and evaluating the interns’ progress throughout the program; recruit and manage the application and selection process; participate in outcomes results with preparation and submission of reports required by ACEND and work closely with the undergraduate Didactic Program in Dietetics director. The faculty member will contribute to Department, School and University committees and is expected to teach courses in undergraduate and/or graduate nutrition and advise undergraduate students. Qualifications: Required: Registered Dietitian (RD) with CDR and a Masters of Science or Masters of Public Health in Human Nutrition or related science. The ability to positively interact with other faculty in the division and stakeholders outside the division. Preferred: Experience with an internship program. Demonstrated competence in teaching. Location: West Virginia University’s main campus is located in Morgantown, situated in the foot hills of the Appalachian Mountains, 75 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA.
