JOB OPPORTUNITY IN SF - SENIOR ACCOUNTANT A top financial institution in San Francisco, CA has a job for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an immediate temporary position with a stable company located in the heart of the Financial District. This job offers competitive pay and exciting challenges. This position is heavily involved in the monthly close Senior Accountant Job Duties - Conduct reconciliations of cash, balance sheet and accrual general ledger accounts - Assist with annual audit - Perform monthly close and consolidations - Process monthly close, journal entries and reconcile subsidiary ledgers - Provide variance analysis on balance sheet and profit and loss accounts - Back up for accounts payable - Review and approve vendor invoices for proper expense coding - Review check runs - Prepare monthly and annual financial reporting packages. - Other job duties as required Job Requirements - Minimum 5 to 7 years of related accounting related experience - Solid understanding of GAAP - Experience with Great Plains - Proficient in Excel - Strong interpersonal skills - Must be well organized - BA/BS in Finance or Accounting.
