JOB Opportunity: FINANCE OFFICER - Fit for School Inc. Responsibilities Job Purpose: To maintain accurate financial and accounting records and to deliver financial services for the attainment of the highest standards of financial stewardship in support of the goals and objectives of the organization Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Implements and administers financial policies and procedures ◦All aspects of bookkeeping ◦Records the day-to-day financial transactions of the organization ◦Ensures that all accounting data are properly and accurately recorded (physical files and digital copies) ◦Processes liquidation of travel reports, cash advances, reimbursements, etc. ◦Reviews documents received and records it per class and per employee basis ◦Processes and properly records all disbursements including payment of rentals, utilities and other expenses ◦Assists in the preparation and review of budget requests ◦Maintains all finance-related files and records such as check and journal vouchers ◦Assists in the preparation of budget reports, financial statements and balance sheets ◦Assists in providing periodic liquidation reports to funding agencies ◦Assists in financial audit ◦Assists in bank reconciliation ◦Checks daily bank balances ◦Prepares check vouchers ◦Prints checks ◦Releases checks and ensure payments are deposited to corresponding payees ◦Ensures back-up of financial system on a daily basis ◦Follows up and coordinates with employees for finance concerns •Provides support in payroll and benefits administration ◦Prepares and processes payroll ◦Prepares and submits remittances for government contributions and employee loan payments on monthly basis ◦Processes disbursement of employee benefits ◦Assists in providing documents needed by employees with regard to requirements of government agencies ◦Assists in processing loan applications of employees with government agencies (Pag-IBIG & SSS) ◦Assists in processing additional list of employees to the respective government agencies •Provides administrative support ◦Assists in procurement of supplies and equipment ◦Ensures that all permits, licenses and other government registrations and filings are up to date i.e. business permit, BIR filings, SEC filings Requirements •College graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy •Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially Word and Excel •Familiarity with Quickbooks is an advantage •High attention to detail •Excellent oral and written communication skills Qualified applicants must send their Letter of Intent and Resume to [email protected] addressed to the HR Officer.
