JOB POSTING for a full-time Receptionist, with main hours weekdays; some evenings. Scope of Duties: This staff member will greet and receive survivors, visitors, partners and vendors at A Safe Place Family Justice Center. Additionally, this staff member will provide information, operate office equipment and perform other administrative functions. Bi-Lingual (Spanish) individuals highly preferred. Specific Responsibilities: 1. Represent the mission, values, and philosophy of CWS to program participants, employees and community partners. 2. Answer telephone calls promptly and efficiently; provide information and/or referral to routine inquires or route calls to appropriate staff. 3. Take messages for unavailable staff and communicate these messages to the proper personnel in a timely manner. 4. Welcoming visitors to A Safe Place and directing them to the appropriate advocate. 5. Completing visitor check in and assessing appropriateness for services and safety. 6. Coordinating with community partners for smooth provision of services. 7. Complete and manage room schedules for all A Safe Place partners. 8. Interact with community partners in a professional and respectful manner. 9. Provide back up for advocates by assisting survivors with short term, crisis intervention services, safety planning and information and referral for community resources. 10. Perform intra-office pick-ups and deliveries as needed. 11. Provide CWS staff with assistance including, but not limited to, filing, scheduling, correspondence, general document copying and distribution. 12. Perform other duties, functions, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned and deemed necessary by the Family Justice Center Operations and Outreach Manager. 13. Attend CWS staff and program meetings and group consultation meetings. 14. Meet regularly with supervisor to plan and prioritize projects. 15. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • Bi-cultural, bi-lingual (preferred) • Willingness to complete a 40-hr advocacy training to meet DHS mandated requirements. • Willingness to complete Prepare Portland Basics Safety Training. • Ability to work with databases and basic computer programs • Be able to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (File Boxes, Office Supplies, Copy, Paper, etc.) • Possess the ability to work non-judgmentally with people from diverse backgrounds. • Ability to work independently.
